I’m redesigning my back garden with a more contemporary look – dark paving, steel features, and minimal planting. I want a few sleek black planters to complete the look. Needs to be modern, understated, and able to withstand the UK weather. Any leads?

Perfect, thanks! Quick question – do they get really hot in summer sun? My south-facing wall gets absolutely roasted in July and I don’t want my plants to cook.

Good point – but they’re designed with that in mind. The material doesn’t absorb heat as much as metal or thin plastic. I’ve had no overheating issues, even during last year’s heatwave. My grasses and agapanthus did just fine in them.
