If you’ve been grinding
Path of Exile 2 lately, you know how vital Verisium is for your progression. But there is a nasty interface bug flying around right now that you need to be aware of before you log back in. If you are muscle-memoried into using inventory shortcuts, you could accidentally delete hours of your hard work in a single click.
Here is exactly what is happening and how to protect your stash until a patch drops.
What is the Shift+Ctrl+Click Bug?
The issue triggers when you interact with Liquid Verisium—most notably while navigating Farrow’s vendor menu.
Normally, players use the Shift + Ctrl + Left Click shortcut to quickly batch-buy or move stacks of items. However, doing this right now with Verisium causes a massive interface error. Instead of cleanly processing the transaction, the game instantly consumes or completely deletes your entire stack of Verisium, but only credits you for a single Liquid Verisium item (and in some cases, absolutely nothing at all).
Players across Reddit and the forums have reported losing tens of thousands of Verisium in the blink of an eye. In a game where resource management is everything, a setback like that can be incredibly frustrating.
Current Status and Developer Response
The good news is that Grinding Gear Games (GGG) is fully aware of the issue. They have officially acknowledged the bug on their X account and across the Path of Exile Bug Report Forums. The team is actively working on a deployment fix, so a permanent patch should be hitting the client relatively soon.
How to Protect Your Verisium Right Now
Until GGG pushes out the hotfix, you need to break the shortcut habit when dealing with this specific resource.
The Workaround: Do not use any batch-buying or quick-transfer shortcuts.
The Safe Way: Slowly and manually Left-Click the item normally, or use standard individual clicks to process your transactions one by one.
It takes a few extra seconds and might feel tedious if you're used to zooming through vendor menus, but it is the only way to guarantee your hard-earned stacks don't vanish into the void. Stay safe out there, Exiles, and keep an eye on the official patch notes for the incoming fix!
